Editor’s Note
  1. James Rose, Head of Editorial

Alan Lee's work has become synonymous with Middle-earth and his illustrations for The Hobbit are no exception. Featuring Alan’s already existing images we’ve added exclusive new artwork – including the leather quarter-binding and slipcase, new colour images, black-and-white borders and a special giclée print – and we've taken the maps and presented these in their own separate map case. Especially exciting, this limited edition has been personally signed by Alan Lee himself in each and every copy. As an accompaniment to our sell-out Lord of the Rings limited edition, or as an entry point to the world of Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf, this is the perfect edition of Tolkien’s first novel and one of the best-loved children’s books of all time.

  • This is a very highly quality product. Not only the whisky is superb, but the edition as well. The font, the pace of the illustration, the little drawing before every chapter, I love it all!
